Students
will be able to describe the services and facilities of different hotels and
discuss which one is best.
Materials Required
“Travelling
Around Yangshuo” Module 3
Sets
of coloured cards (four different colours per set)
Preparation
Prepare
materials, ensure class have access to books
Procedure
1
Write title on board.
Ask if students have
ever stayed in a hotel (probably not)
Ask individual
students for things you find in a hotel.
Make a list on the
board.

Go through vocabulary
from the Module on the board –check understanding and write definitions. Refer
students to pages in the book.

Put students into
groups of four.
Give each group a set
of four coloured cards.
Write on board: -
Look in the book at
the details for your Hotel.
Red card : Look at
Green Lotus Hotel Pages 17 and 18
Yellow card – Look at
Yangshuo Resort Hotel Pages 19 and 20
Green card – Look at
Bailandi Hotel – Page 24
Blue Card – Look at
No 1 Country Inn – Page 26
Each student tell the
others in your group about your hotel.
Choose which hotel is
your favourite.
