Now what seems to be the problem?
Patient: Doctor, I have a stomach ache.
Doctor: How long have you had it?
Patient: I've had it about three days.
Doctor: Are you taking anything for it?
Patient: I bought some medicine at the
pharmacy but it didn't help.
Doctor: I see. Are you allergic to
anything?
Patient: Not that I know of.
Doctor: I'm going to give you a prescription
for indigestion.
Patient: How often should I take it?
Doctor:You should take it before meals.
5.
Divide class into groups.
In each group give strongest
student the “doctor information sheet” (Notes 2 and 3)
Give every other student one or

Students in groups must practice
dialogues modelled after the one on the board.
As they practice monitor and
assist as needed.
